So what does “Formal without Footwear” mean?
We are asking guests to attend Friday evening’s ceremony and reception in Formal attire, suit and tie for men and dress (or suit) for women. The ceremony will be held on the beach, so having shoes during the ceremony is optional. However, the driveway that you will have to walk to the venue and the walk from the reception area to the restrooms is made up of chunky gravel. We highly recommend bringing shoes that you can easily slide on and off for arrival, departure and restroom runs.
We also highly recommend bringing layers. We will have heat lamps and some blankets, but the ceremony and reception are going to be entirely outside. Unfortunately, we have no control of the weather, so please come prepared!
