Stinson Beach is an hour north of San Francisco and about a 1 hour and 15-minute drive from either the San Francisco International Airport or the Oakland International Airport. Our #1 Recommendation for anyone flying is to rent a car to drive up to Stinson Beach.
Please note that both the Coastal road (highway 1, usually takes 30 minutes longer due to one lane section of road) and the Mountain Road (preferred) are windy roads. Please allow plenty of time for the drive.
